The House

I got to listen to this on Libby and I thought the audio was well done. I loved how well the narrators portrayed both main characters. This was a wild ride for me. I did not find it scary or super thrilling but the unknown and entertainment were enough for me to finish this rather quickly. The house provides for Gavin and I thought nothing wrong at the beginning. Once we get to know Delilah things begin to take a turn. I loved Delilah's spunk and outside of the box thinking. I mean she gave that house the benefit of the doubt for sure. More chances than most people would, I think.

Once we start getting answers and the events start making sense I was a bit shocked by some of the things that transpired. So the surprise factor wasn't huge but definitely was there. I did think the ending was creative and I did enjoy the book.

Total side note: Her bestie, I don't know how to spell his name because it was an audio, total star in this. And his mom, such an MVP in this story. Could she have known or suspected something, totally! I think they redeem themselves enough.

🏠 Gavin knew this was insane. He should be horrified that everyone had essentially let him fend for himself. But it almost made him feel better. Like he hadn’t been abandoned by the entire town after all.

Destructively Mine

Thank you so much Valentine PR, PRH Audio and Netgalley for the chance to get the whole experience with this book. Narrators were Aaron Shed...
